FundHero is now (much) faster

We rewrote the backend of FundHero in Rust, and the whole app is faster for it. Contacts, reports and your dashboard now load in a second or two, even for teams with tens of thousands of donors. That makes FundHero the fastest donor CRM on the market.

What we changed

Your data loads a page at a time. FundHero now fetches just the contacts you’re looking at, already sorted and filtered, and loads more as you scroll. Even a list of 50,000 donors opens in about a second.

The heavy lifting happens on our servers. Totals, reports and dashboard numbers are calculated by a new database built for that kind of work. Your browser just shows the results.

Groups and duplicates are calculated in one pass. Smart groups, group counts and the duplicate finder now come back in about a second, even on our largest accounts.

A real example

Here’s a larger account, with over 50,000 contacts and 80,000 gifts, before and after the update:

That’s the same account, with the same data and the same report totals, now loading up to 30 times faster.

What you need to do

Nothing. Your login, your teams and your data haven’t changed, and the update is already live. Donations from your FundHero pages still appear in your CRM within seconds, and your data is backed up every hour.
