# Cancel a monthly donation

How to stop a recurring monthly gift made through a FundHero donation page.

You can cancel a monthly donation yourself from the "Manage your donation" page linked in your monthly receipt email. Open the link and select **Cancel donation**.

## Cancel your donation

1. Find your monthly receipt email. Its subject is "Your monthly" followed by the organization's name and "receipt".
2. Near the bottom of the email, select the link after "You can manage or delete your recurring donation at". It opens a page on `secure.fundhero.com`.
3. The page is titled **Manage your donation** and says something like "Your monthly donation of $25 started on 01/15/2026 and renews every month."
4. Select **Cancel donation**.
5. The page then shows "Your donation has been cancelled." Your card won't be charged again for this donation.

If you open the link later, the page says when the donation was cancelled.

## If it doesn't work

- If the page shows "Unable to cancel donation, please email mail@fundhero.io", email [mail@fundhero.io](mailto:mail@fundhero.io) with the organization's name, the amount and the email address you gave when you donated.
- If you can't find your monthly receipt email, check your spam folder, and search your inbox for the organization's name. If you still can't find it, email [mail@fundhero.io](mailto:mail@fundhero.io) with the same details.
- The page can only cancel monthly donations. One-time gifts can't be cancelled because they are charged once.

For refunds of charges that have already been made, contact the organization you gave to, as they decide whether to refund a gift.
