# Board member email

A sample email for board members to send to their own contacts, introducing your organization and asking them to give.

This email helps your board members take part in fundraising by writing to their own contacts about your organization. Ask them to copy it, edit it, and send it. It mentions Giving Tuesday, but you can delete that and adjust it to the right timeframe.

Replace everything in [square brackets] with details about your cause. Anything in {curly braces} should be linked to your donation page. Copy the text into your email tool, or into a FundHero [email template](https://www.fundhero.com/help/create-or-edit-a-template/) if you want to send it from a contact's page.
