# Connect Mailchimp

Connect your Mailchimp account and push FundHero contacts into a Mailchimp audience so you can send mass emails from Mailchimp.

Connect Mailchimp from **Settings** (gear) > **Integrations** to push your FundHero contacts into a Mailchimp audience, so you can send mass emails from Mailchimp. It's available on the Professional and Organization plans; on Basic, **Connect Mailchimp** is locked.

The integration is a one-way push from FundHero to Mailchimp. Nothing in Mailchimp is copied back into FundHero, which keeps your FundHero contact list focused on donors and priority contacts.

## Before you start

You need a Mailchimp account. Mailchimp has its own plans and fees, so check what your plan includes. You can sign up at mailchimp.com.

Contacts need an email address to be pushed.

## Connect your account

1. Click the **gear** in the top bar, then **Settings**.
2. Open the **Integrations** tab.
3. Under **Mailchimp Integration**, click **Connect Mailchimp**.
4. Sign in to Mailchimp when asked and allow access. FundHero then brings you back to **Settings**. If you land on a different tab, open **Integrations** again.

If FundHero can't start the connection it shows "Unable to connect Mailchimp". Try again, and contact support if it keeps happening.

## Push contacts to Mailchimp

Once connected, the Integrations tab asks "Which audience would you like to send FundHero contacts to?"

1. Under **Audience**, choose the Mailchimp audience to send to.
2. If you've created groups in FundHero, a **Group** menu appears. Choose the group whose contacts you want to push, or leave it on **none**.
3. Click **Push Contacts**. FundHero shows "Mailchimp Audience Synced" when it's done.

Duplicate contacts won't be added. **Push Contacts** only turns on after you choose an audience.

Run **Push Contacts** again whenever you want to send newly added contacts across.

## Tip: link your emails to your donation page

When you email your list from Mailchimp, link to your FundHero donation page (`https://secure.fundhero.com/<team>/<slug>`). Gifts made through that link are logged in FundHero automatically.

## Disconnect Mailchimp

On the **Integrations** tab, click **Disconnect Mailchimp**. FundHero shows "Mailchimp disconnected" and clears the saved connection. You can connect again at any time.
