# Plans and free trial

Compare the Basic, Professional and Organization plans, and see how the 14-day trial, annual billing and promo codes work.

FundHero has three plans: Basic, Professional and Organization. Professional and Organization start with a 14-day free trial, and paying annually saves 15%.

## Plan comparison

These are the prices and limits shown on the **Choose your plan** screen.

FundHero describes Basic as "for new or small campaigns and non-profits", Professional as "for small to medium sized campaigns and non-profits that are growing fast", and Organization as "for established campaigns and non-profits that need dedicated support".

## What Basic doesn't include

Some features are locked on Basic. Where you try to use one, FundHero shows an upgrade prompt. On Basic you can't:

- Add more than one donation page, or use the Story, Image or Event page templates.
- Turn on recurring (monthly) donations.
- Create a **New Template** in Templates.
- Connect Mailchimp.
- Create custom reports or use tags in reports.
- Import donations.
- Create more than 3 groups.
- Use **Add Note** or **Add Task**.

Professional and Organization include these features.

## The free trial

Professional and Organization include a free trial of 14 days ("Free 2 week trial" on the plan card). You enter a card when you choose the plan, and the checkout screen says: "You will be billed after your free trial ends." Basic has no trial.

## Monthly or annual billing

The **Choose your plan** screen has a **Monthly** / **Annual (Save 15%)** toggle. The prices on the cards change when you flip it.

## Promo codes

On the payment step, select **Apply Now** next to "Have a promo code?", type the code into **Promo Code** and select **Apply**. If the code is valid, the screen shows "Applied:" with the code's name. If it isn't, an error appears under the field.

## Changing plans later

The **Choose your plan** screen says: "You can upgrade or change plans at any time." Admins manage the subscription from **Settings** > **Billing**. See [Manage billing](https://www.fundhero.com/help/manage-billing/).

## Fees are separate

Your plan price is the subscription for using FundHero. Payment processing fees on donations are separate: a 2% FundHero platform fee plus Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30, which is 4.9% + $0.30 in total.
