# Recurring donations

Let donors give every month, and link straight to the monthly option.

Turn on **Monthly Donations enabled** in the donation page editor and donors see a "Make it monthly!" switch when they give. Recurring donations are monthly only, and they aren't available on Basic.

## Turn it on

1. Open **Donation Pages**, open the menu on the page's card and select **Edit**.
2. Find **Recurring Donations**, which says "Allow donors to choose between one-time and monthly recurring donations."
3. Switch on **Monthly Donations enabled**.
4. Select **Save**.

On a Basic plan the section shows a locked **Enable Recurring Donations** button instead, which opens an upgrade prompt. The section isn't shown on Event pages.

## What donors see

Donors see a "Make it monthly!" switch next to the amount. The switch is off unless you link to the page with `?monthly=true` on the end. For example:

`https://secure.fundhero.com/<team>/<slug>?monthly=true`

With that link the switch is already on, and donors can switch it off. The link only has an effect on pages where **Monthly Donations enabled** is on.

Monthly gifts must be whole dollar amounts. A donor who enters cents sees "Monthly donations cannot include cents. Please input a whole dollar value."

Donors can cancel a monthly gift themselves from their "Manage your donation" page. See the For donors topic.
